Local, Fresh Produce

We take great pride in the ingredients that we select for our dishes, and our commitment to local, fresh produce is the cornerstone of our cooking. It is this passion for locally sourced ingredients that we feel make us one of the top Scottish restaurants in the Glasgow and Renfrewshire areas.

Our award winning chef and his team have created a delicious menu using these locally sourced ingredients, complemented by fresh vegetables and salads from our Community Gardens in Hillington and Paisley. Our Community Garden in Hillington is a stone’s throw away from The Experience, while our garden in Paisley is on the grounds of Kibble Education and Care centre, grown and cultivated by our young people to the highest possible standard.

Our local suppliers are as follows:

W P Tulloch Butchers, Paisley (est 1932) provide us with the finest Scottish beef from their own herd of beef-cross Aberdeen Angus cattle. We also serve Stornoway black pudding and Macsween’s Haggis.

Our fish supplier, The Fish People provide us with the finest sustainable seafood from Scottish waters.

Artisan Scottish Cheeses (Arran and Mull) are on the menu alongside ice-cream from the Isle of Arran Dairies.

Our independent coffee roaster and supplier, Matthew Algie, provides fresh, tasty and ethical coffee and teas.

The Academy Restaurant offers a dining experience like no other in Hillington, and provides good Scottish cooking unlike any other restaurant in Glasgow or Renfrewshire. It is a great place to order food, have a coffee and to take a cooking or cocktail class.
